Dr Zoe Davidson works in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences at Monash University as a Lecturer. Zoe is an Accredited Practising Dietitian specialising in paediatric nutrition. Zoe’s doctoral research focused on advancing the evidence base for the nutritional management of boys with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. This body of work is the first of its kind. A key component of this research is a randomised control trial investigating the use on nutriceuticals in DMD for which recruitment is ongoing. Zoe is continuing research in this area in a postdoctoral post with Murdoch Children’s Research Institute with a specific focus on energy expenditure and body composition in children with neuromuscular disorders.
