Emma is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Psychology Department at Goldsmiths, University of London. Her research largely focuses on neurodevelopmental disorders. At present, Emma conducts research on the motor and social abilities of children with developmental coordination disorder (DCD) and those with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). More specifically, Emma examines the relationship between motor and oculomotor skill using advanced eye tracking methods, and also the relationship between early motor development and later primary-age motor and social outcomes. As well as the above, Emma has research expertise in dyslexia. She has conducted a number of studies to explore the impact of spelling difficulties on writing development in both children and adults with and without a diagnosis of dyslexia.
